2nd Place

Wow....WHAT A DAY! The Thunderbirds were in the finals of the Founder's Cup today. They were up against the only team we've lost against all season....the ones we lost to 0-2 in Fremont last weekend. What an exciting, tense game today. There were puddles in the field and the ball would just plop and not roll. The kids had to learn whole new means to get the ball from here to there, slipped a bunch, and even got their feet stuck in certain areas. We were relieved there were no turned ankles. They played with all their might against this other amazing team. The Thunderbirds ended up losing 0-2....BUT WE PLACED 2ND IN THE WHOLE TOURNAMENT!. What a wonderful experience this has been. Loren says his favorite sport now is soccer, and already looks forward to next season. I'm glad, because this mom loves to watch!
