Today's the day ....................... for some modern art

Visited Edinburgh's Gallery of Modern Art today - mainly (I would have to confess) for its great cafe?! But it was good to see that there were a fair number of people there taking advantage of the free exhibitions that it has on offer all year round.

This is a huge outdoor installation at the entrance of the gallery, designed by Charles Jencks in 2002, called Landform. It's normally a sweep of grassy contours but it looked quite interesting today covered with snow, with its frozen pools of water just beginning to thaw ...............
