Concrete bloc
Today after breakfast packed the whole family to the car and visited some friends. Our son U found mates to play and run with and we got a change to catch up with friends that have not seen in some time. One had kept his working place in Nokia despite of the relatively big statutory negotiations here in Finland. He did not actually know was it a good or bad thing. Which is bad I think..
During the evening decided with Mrs.Mrok that each of us has earned a small quality time alone outside, so we did one hour walk while other one was home playing with the kids. I decided to go to the area nearby that has rental apartments. My sincere apologies already beforehand as the next chapter has some huge generalisations ;)
The area has dozens of this kind concrete apartment blocs, most of them are double or triple room apartments rented by the city. The pricing level is quite low and you really can see it when looking the neighborhood with more details. Broken car wrecks at the huge parking lots, no parks or decent playing areas for the kids. All blocs are grey and look almost identical not exactly encouraging to live there at all.
Ok, it is not so bad in real life as fairly common people live there. Know it as have lived in such apartment ages ago and do not have any bad memories of it. It just looks so uninspiring and dull. I think most of the countries have similar type of neighborhoods, at least in Finland every city has some..
