Journeys of cats and birds (with ring and ball)

Pretty strange weather. A bit melty but also freezing. So a thick layer of rain-cum-ice formed overnight. I have to say I'm pretty hacked off with this white stuff now. And the clear stuff, and the grotty brown stuff. So I saw a shiny yellow ring that had become uncovered and it stood out. Then I noticed the little footprints and felt for the avian's extremities. Maybe the neighbours cat was following it? Who knows :) I think I have cabin fever ;). Maybe tomorrow we will get on the road south to visit the rellies. Unless more cold stuff descends....anyone got a job for me somewhere sunny and warm?
