The dressing gown

I love it when a photo tells a story but I really cannot imagine what the story behind this photo might be. Why would a dressing gown be discarded on a gate to a field????

The light is slightly odd as following snow and heavy rain today we had thick fog.
Mr B and Emma were having a discussion on which weather was preferable, cold or rain. Emma explained to Mr B that rain ruins your hair, Mr B just laughed and said that it wasn't a problem for him!
