Sledging fun!

Today we were supposed to be up early and off to Ayrshire to a 100th Birthday Bash...

When I woke up, however, I soon realised this was not to be - overnight there had been another dumping of snow! A thick blanket of white covered everything and it was still coming down thick and fast.

My dad and hubby set to work digging out the cars and clearing the drive, and finally hubby managed to get the car out and drive up the road to the next village and back again. It was pretty hard-going, and we weren't really sure what the weather was going to do next, so we decided to be sensible and stay put, and not go to the party after all.

So, what to do? Sledging of course! Here's my sis enjoying the weather.... :-) Then a huge snowman was built, and an igloo was started but not finished as everyone was too cold. So we went inside to get warm in front of the fire with some drinks and yet another buffet... great stuff!!!
