As many roses as years...

When you are a child, for your birthday to be the day before Christmas, really, it must not be much fun. No birthday parties with friends when you are little, certainly no garden parties, and probably less presents than if your birthday had been mid-June.

However, once you have grown up, and have children yourself (on better dates preferably), there is one big advantage to have your birthday just before Christmas - your close family is most likely to be there to celebrate it with you!
