Laser Show
Liverpool was busy when I arrived there this afternoon so I had to go up to the rooftop floor of the car park to find a parking space. When I returned in the dark to collect my car this bright laser was shining across the city.
It marks a collaboration between two galleries, FACT in Wood Street and the Tate Liverpool on the Albert Dock. The show is a retrospective of the work of video artist Nam June Paik which runs until early March.
In 1960 the first functioning laser (Light Amplification by Simulated Emission of Radiation) was constructed.
