You like Gingers, Dont you Davy!

Back to normal in our house today after a hellish drive down from Rosyth yesterday. We left at 9am and paid a visit to my Gran, who lives in a care home in the Southside of Glasgow. Afterwards, we shot down to Gretna where we had a spot of lunch and bought a few goodies that you cant get down south - including these biscuits!

Got as far as Junction 21A of the M6 where the traffic came to a standstill. To be fair, we had been warned as far north as the Blackpool turn off (Jctn 33 I believe), so we were looking at diversion options. Normally I would 'escape the M6 at Stoke on Trent and cut over to the M1 if need be, but we hadn't even got that far south. So, it was a detour via Knutsford, Macclesfield and every town and village in that area, before we eventually found the A50 south of Derby. Added to this was poor visibility caused by dense fog patches. We eventually arrived home at 9:30pm, tired and fed up. What a way to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary - nine years of married bliss.

So, we enjoyed a glass of bubbly with our tea - a chinese takeaway, and then returned to normality this evening. Emsie catching up with her soaps on telly, whilst I caught up with blip!

Tomorrow brings Emsies latest growth scan and consultant clinic for our unborn baby. She is due in February, so fingers crossed for tomorrow!
