A grey, wet, foggy, dreary day

One drop of sunshine in a very grey day.

The sun tried to come out today but it struggled.

I went up to my dad's (Haverthwaite) today for the usual Xmas / New Year visit. Normally, I take the opportunity to photograph the flowers, trees and birds but there really wasn't a lot of light.

I stopped on the way up and tried to get a shot of the mist in the distance but it didn't really work out. Also, I spotted a great scene of low lying mist across the fields but I was on a dual carriageway and couldn't stop.
