A Night at the Movies

Unfortunately, my surreptitiously taken photo of the orchestra taken using my camera phone was a bit too shaky for tonight's blip so I've had to make do with a last minute shot of the ticket.

Wonderful night at the Royal Concert Hall listening to the Scottish Concert Orchestra playing musical numbers by the composer John Williams. The narrator was Paul Gambaccini who filled us in on his vast range of work and introduced tunes such as the themes from Jaws, ET, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Superman and the haunting melody from Schindler's List. Truly fantastic seeing the range of music that can be derived from the individual instruments.
