Woodland walk

I went out looking for signs of life along the woodland path that follows a disused railway track, but it's too early for any buds or snowdrops so I had to make do with ivy and seedheads.

Over Christmas I managed to read about 5 pages of a photography book so my mission today was to stay off the automatic camera settings. The results were predictably mixed but this is my first attempt at a manual exposure. Although it's not a very inspiring subject it does capture the feel of the afternoon - dull, dead and damp.
