Rescue me

Today is one of Those days. I should be cosy, warm and enjoying having a day off, but actually I'm fed up. So I thought I'd grab my camera and go down to the river, which usually cheers me up. I might even catch some birds, inspired by longshanks' recent series of seabirds.

Instead I found a river in flood, creeping with ominous depth and an almost animate determination eastwards, surrounded by fog and although I could hear various avian species, there wasn't a wing or a beak in sight. "Spooky" doesn't come close.

I didn't stay long.
