Walk with me...

"As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives." - Henry David Thoreau

Footsteps

Each day I take a step in my path
a step in which I won't fall.
A cautious fumble, a slight tiptoe,
I tend to keep it small.

But since you've come into my life,
I've had to change my pace.
Take bigger leaps, make detours,
and know when to end a chase.

Now I know I already fell,
When I looked back and saw there were two.
Two sets of footsteps on one combined path,
the path I walk with you.
