The Two Towers

Arnside Tower reflected.

Last night the sky was clear and promised a bright morning. The morning was dull, however, and it stayed dull all day, a blanket of cloud across the sky and none of the mist of yesterday. It's remarkable though that this has been one of very few dull days in the last month, it's been achingly cold, but almost every day we have had blue skies. Today was more what is expected of Cumbria - except without the rain.

I have blipped part of Arnside Tower before, though a cow's backside was more prominent than the edifice, see link where there is a little information on the Tower.

I had a quick walk round Leighton Moss, the open water is still frozen and all the wildfowl are concentrated in the small areas of open water out of camera range.

Otherwise, we had a quiet day at home - catching up in the house where we are still getting things back in their rightful place after the months of disruption when the decorating was being done.

An early blip for me today. Our Arnside friend Simon is coming for tea - as a thankyou for keeping an eye on Bob the Cat while we were away.
