Keep Your Pecker Up
Headed up to the RSPB's Vane Farm Reserve today, first time in a while I've used the benefit of my membership card. In truth the hope was for even just the slightest glimpse of a White Tailed Eagle, but they weren't coming out to play (fortunately we have seen them on Skye, but will be back to try again here...).
With Loch Leven frozen (that being the other possibility of a blip...) there weren't too many birds about at all, but we still managed to rack up the Great Spotted Woodpecker up there; Little Grebe; Goosander; Goldeneye; Heron; Swan; Dipper; Chaffinch; Mistle Thrush and an overflying 'V' of Geese (probably Pink Foot we think).
Dinner tonight at the Port of Siam in Newhaven promises to be good. And the walk got me planning an scheming with a few ideas again. Funny how an arbitrary line in the sand such as a changing of the calendar can lead to this. But it's good. It's more me to have a lot on my plate...
