Blackout

A blackout in this day and age! I remember many nights without power when we were younger but not any time recently.

We have 11 people for dinner and Scottish Power in their wisdom, have cut off the whole street to do a repair.

The trouble is they didn't even tell anybody they were about to do it, so the alarms were all going off on backup batteries and more importantly, the heating and cooking facilities are not functioning.

So today's blip is a view of the fire and candles that all 11 of us are huddled around waiting for the carry out to arrive.

There seems to be more Christmas spirit in the dark than normal. Kids are loving it.
