Woosh

A 3-hour train journey from Tokyo to Nagano (I think) started at 6am, meaning the train journey featured a rather pleasant sunrise. Pretty much stared our the window the whole journey, really beautiful countryside to pass through.

Skiing in the afternoon, was a lot harder to get started than I expected. No nursery slope meant mum and I spent the first couple of hours side-stepping a bit of the way up the slope, and skiing down. By the end of the day we went up the first slope, which in the end turned out to be steeper than the next section up after that (which makes absolutely no sense!?)
