New Years Sunflower

So after having been a bit slack in 2010, I have decided I am going to make a real effort in getting a pic up everyday, and hopefully a good one at that.

I am hoping to study photography part time this year starting in February, so please feel free to enjoy my photos or offer up some advice or helpful criticism. I intend to use it all to help progress my skills.

Anyway, I thought I would start the year off with a bright and cheery sunflower (one I grew on my own from seed - it's 2.5m tall!!!) in the hope that it would bring a smile to your face and a happy beginning to the year.
