vang vieng is a tourist hot spot in laos. they really cater to adventurists and party goers. this was one of the first days they had started selling hot air balloon rides. the locals were in complete awe of this, as most of them had probably never seen one before. as i walked around i could see loads of people standing with their faces to the sky and mouths open.
