Milk, Nesquik, squirty cream & chocolate
Sometimes the simplest things are the best. Which might explain the reaction I get from my children when I preesnt them with, of all things, a hot chocolate.
After last night's entertainment, after the bath, we ate, we watched a film, we danced and sang and laughed together and we watched the new year in and the accompanying fireworks. This morning, after precious little sleep, number 1 son decided he was duly hungry, which is fair enough. I threw myself on the hand grenade to save the battalion and took him for some breakfast and let everyone else sleep on, a nice feeling indeed.
PJs til we decided to go for our walk and then back for hot chocolates or green tea. As I said, it is quite remarkable the pleasure that can be garnered from small things, the other holiday special which I wheeled out to make one wee girl very happy, yes the breakfast cereal known round these parts as Popo Cops. Somewhere in my head I was thinking, soon it will be back to unhappy/non holiday special breakfast cereals, like porridge, bran bookends and common gravel.
