"New Day, New Year 2011"

Acrylic on canvas, 12"x18", 2010. My first painting for the year. While I would have wanted to paint the first morning's sunrise, the cloudy skies veiled my expectations. But the Whistler-palette rendition of a rain-drenched first morning of the year is just as magical.
