New Years Day
Things to do on New Years Day...
Nice walk out in the fresh air.
Loony Dooking - as demonstrated by my dad and a few of his cronies fellow blippers up in Scotland.
Trawl round those furniture shops to see if the deals on those annoying ads are as good as they seem.
Trawl round DIY shops for inspiration for that New Years DIY project.
Not in this house: a nucleur holocaust wasn't going to get those two out of the house, so I ventured out myself (under the excuse of needing tortilla chips for our traditional New Years Dinner.). To be fair, Emma was helping Oliver rebuild his lego set that had suffered from a long car journey.
Southsea sea front was as busy as it can be on a summers day - with loads of people enjoying the milder air after last months freezing conditions. It was nice to see so many people out and about. Even the buses were running some kind of service. That explains the light trail on the bottom left of the picture.
On a different note - Congratulations to all those who braved the freezing cold waters of the Forth this afternoon - and all those who braved cold temperatures around the country. I'm sure loads of money has been raised for varying charities! Of course, if I haven't said so already.... Happy New Year!
