A good day on the lake

Ice fishing.. a good way to spend new years day. There is 4"-6" of ice on the lake, plenty safe enough...under the slush. It was not me ice fishing, but some folks i saw out there today across the street from me. The 'tilt' as it is called is out of the water now, because they had a fish on, turns out that it was a 13" brown trout. A nice catch and will make a nice meal tonight for them. 1 fish for the day makes it worth while, but that is not all they caught, there was also a 20" pickerel in the cooler too.
