Happy New Year!

While in most countries the new year is celebrated with a pre-choreographed fireworks display done by professionals taking place at a local monument or public place, in Iceland the public just do it all by themselves. All at once, all over the country, everyone starts firing up at once around midnight, As far as the eye can see, fireworks line the horizon in a spectacular unorganized mess.

It's AWESOME. ;)
