Happy new year

Lots of these Chinese lanterns going over head as the chimes of midnight faded.

I was out taking these photos, messing around with ISOs and other settings - then I heard a rustle in a tree next to me - a ghostly shadowy thing started to slink down the tree. It was almost translucent, it wafted down....


oh - it was one of these balloons that had run out of fuel!
