New Year's Eve / Mum's birthday

Happy Birthday Mum. Happy New Year to everyone else! We had a birthday lunch at Il Moro in Stratford then saw Matilda. The whole thing was brilliant but especially the kids who sang, danced, acted and generally entertained with amazing skill. Jane and Co returned from Germany this evening and we enjoyed the neighbours' fireworks at midnight (except Laurie, who hid under my bed..)
