Its difficult to imagine

The River Clyde was once one of the busiest waterways in the world.This shot was taken at 9am and plenty of wild life around..
It was so calm it was almost idyllic.
When I was a lad this patch of water would have been covered in oil slicks and driftwood, cargo ships every 15 minutes, but sea trout have been seen as far up river as the centre of Glasgow 14 miles away.
So what is the best option -- no work or a pollution free river.
Its OK when you are retired like me but I despair for upcoming generations.
