Lanterns take us into the New Year

After a merry evening of feasting with lots of good friends and live music, everyone strolled to Quaking House Lane, up to the crookedy gate and let off lanterns... mostly eco-friendly, wire-free ones :-) Such a beautiful sight watching them drift peacefully away on such a perfectly still night... shame I was so ill and had to hitch a ride up with Bridgette whose foot is still in plaster. Next year we'll both be dancing up the hill in merry good healthl!
