Harp Seal

Not very often you see one of these on land...and not so far south at this time of year. This big male harp seal was hauled out on a beach near Fermeuse, Newfoundland. They pup in large numbers off our NE coast in March-April but this time of year they are mostly off Labrador and Baffin Island.
