Attempted a boxing day walk up at Stiperstones. When we used to go walking, we always used to be mega prepared with extra clothes, waterproofs and Mr EG has this emergency shelter thingy for lunch if it's raining or freezing cold in he snow like today. For some bizarre reason, now we have a baby and might actually need some of this stuff, all we thought we would need in the rucksack was a few sarnies and a flask. We didn't even take anything to sit on. Toby was cold and hungry, the dogs were misbehaving and I got really naggy! So we retreated back to the car after about 1/2 hr and had our picnic in there with the heating turned right up! oh well, we tried! It was stunning up there but I think we'll wait till the snow has cleared before we go back!
