Stay off the ice.....

There is only a thin skim of ice on this pond as we really haven't had much cold weather. This is a lovely spot in winter despite how it came to be. This pond is really a hole left from stip coal mining that has filled with water. In the summer the water has a beautiful green color but you would not want to swim in it. However, on this mild late afternoon, it is quite blipable!
