Gambel's Corpse

Found this traffic victim on the road this afternoon. Not a pretty sight so I laid him out on a green sheet like the morgue. (Been seeing too many cop shows lately). The green should enable a better look at the bird and his plumage. That is what Audubon did. He shot them so that they would be still while he painted the details.
