Nuts in January

Glenisla is full of wildlife, and we've had pheasants galore in the garden, woodpeckers, tits, finches, lots more I don't know the name of -- and, as you can see, red squirrels.

This taken through glass, which they've worked out makes us non-threatening. The minute I open the door they run a mile. The owner of the cottage we're staying in, on the other hand, has been known to feed them from her hand.
