It's Christmastime in the City

Went to the city today with Lauren to meet up with my friend Alex who has been away in Spain for the semester so I haven't seen her in months and months. It was so great to see her! She was in the city with her friends Esther (who I've met once before) and Pasquale who goes to school with us.

Lauren and I walked from Penn Station to Times Square to meet them (~12 blocks).
Then we all walked from Times Square back to Macy's, near Penn (~12 blocks).
We got pizza in Penn Station YUM!
Then walked back to Times Square to go into the giant Forever 21 (~14 blocks).
Then walked to Rockefeller Center to see the tree, pictured above (~6 blocks).
After we saw the tree, Alex and her friends went home, but me and Lauren had some more time to kill so we walked back to Times Square to go shopping at American Eagle. I bought a pretty sweatshirt on sale. (~6 blocks).
After that, Lauren and I walked back to Penn Station to wait for her boyfriend who was meeting us there (~15 blocks).

So all in all, we did A LOT of walking. The picture in the link above is of one of the displays in Forever 21. I met Lauren's bf for the first time and then we all took the train home and met up with a bunch of people for half-price apps at Applebee's later on.

It was a long day, but a good one!
