Ashley River

Another Summers day dawned with blue skies warming throughout the day to a high of 31C.

Ashley Gorge was reasonably quiet when we arrived. People had made swimming holes and were enjoying the coolness of the water while others were picnicing and playing cricket on the banks. Further up the reserve were campers with their vans and tents. The sounds of native birds, children laughing and the river rippling by were all intermingled.

A summers day on the banks of the Upper Ashley River :)
