Triffid alert on Fife beach ..

I had taken a very tasteful view from near Burntisland across the Firth of Forth, but was so intrigued by this that I thought you'd like to see it too!

I first saw this as some sort of flower clutching a stone and wondered how it got there. I now think that is is some sort of seaweed or plant's roots clutching the stones. This stone is about fist size - odd huh? There were quite a number of them

It's astonishing how little light there was for the sea photo even at 11 am today ..
