Traveling Days..

So today started my two and a half weeks of traveling through Italy, Switzerland and France. Which also meant the start of all the shit that comes with traveling in Europe in one of its most temperamental winters in memory. My day started at 4.30am, a taxi to the train station, the train to Paris, a bus to the airport, almost missing my check-in when at the airport, and then being told that my plane would not be leaving until 3 hours after it was scheduled.

The wait that followed didn't particularly bother me - i read and planned for the trip and listened to music. Others struggled. This photo shows the queue for free food (aka. the food we would have been served on the plane if it had been on time) so people got excited for that.

I got to Rome in the end and met my two friends who had flown all the way from Australian and had been traveling for 35 hours straight. Needless to say, the relief was tremendous - we had made it!
