Back to normal?

"At last, we are getting back to normal", I thought today. The cards and decorations have been taken down and we can get on with the New Year and the usual routines.

This evening I was in Hexham for the Photographic Society - my normal Tuesday evening. As I walked back to my car I could not fail to notice the lights in the trees on The Sele, and the lights on the posts, like this one. It all seemed a bit incongruous, and the wind was giving the lights a fair battering.

This one did provide my blip and it was lovely to see a few bright lights on a dark and stormy night, but please, can we get back to normal soon???
