Grand Opening

Grey and cloudy outside. Phhhhhht!

I've been surprised at how sturdy this amaryllis bulb has grown. It's very tall but placing its plastic pot inside a heavy cache pot seemed to prevent tipping. Today's photo shoot was too much for it though. An hour later I found the flower stalk lying across the pot, bulb completely uprooted. Now it's in a vase.
