David's Blips

Star gazing

Here's my star gazing spot. It's still in the city so it's not perfect, but it's much darker than some areas.

My recent obsession has been watching the International Space Station fly by. Too cloudy tonight however. The past week has been great. Cloudless and very cold clear nights. Sadly the weather forecast for the next week is cloudy and rainy.

The white building in the left of the photo is the Vancouver observatory which I'm planning a visit to at some point.

With a bit of a rubbish photo today, I thought I'd do some back blippping.

From June 2006, my home village of Sandwick in the Shetland Islands. What's good about this photo is that it was taken just after mid summer. See how light it is at 11.30 in the evening. http://drl.me/qbz

From June 2007, an HDR of one of the outside parts of the then new Lerwick Museum. http://drl.me/nmk

And from January 2008, one of my favourite photos of Emma. Taken on teh Yell ferry. Black and white always looks best. http://drl.me/odb
