The Way To A Bird's Heart?

I don't buy commercial mixes of birdfood unless from a specialist source so have several packs of different components to mix. When the temperature drops to freezing the demand is high throughout the day so I put high-calorie stuff on the birdtable before I go to bed (and top up the 3 feeders if necessary) so I don't interrupt the feeding by lumbering about when I'm home from work. Then I get out the binoculars and enjoy the activity.
