Tree of knowledge

This horse chestnut tree grows opposite the library. I'm not sure how old it is but I find it a comforting presence on my way to and from work.

I liked the contrast today between the damp blackness of the tree against the sky which is like a promise from a new season.

I also played with the image in the Photoshop app. I quite like the result.
