our dog

sometimes myself and 'husband' talk about getting a dog.
we fawn over photos on local dog shelters' websites.
we discuss breeds and sizes and what we'd name them, and eventually the conversation comes to the point where we talk about whether we'd REALLY be able to care for a dog...
and one or either of us say ''well the plant is still alive''...
and the other will say ''yeah but it only needs to be watered every 3 weeks''.

and then we agree now is not the right time for us to get a dog
