Putting on a brave "birthday boy" face

Well yesterday the wee man came down ill with what I (as a qualified nurse) thought was just a bad case of flu... and today it is his 7th birthday. Here he is very high temperature... very lethargic, and still managing to put on a brave face and smile for a birthday photograph.

I was later to find out that he actually had highly contagious SCARLET FEVER! The redness here that I thought was his fever - was actually the scarlet fever rash - which presents like flushness! So there you go - I hope I've taught some folk something at least...
