Well Hello Bonnie Birdies

After bidding Farewell Bonnie Birdies to the siskins of Perth yesterday, we're back down south now. Had to pop into Hertford today and had noticed various reports of Waxwings in Tanner's Crescent, so checked them out.

Although the main flock was high in trees it was unusual to see some of them feeding on the ground on fallen berries. Certainly there were potentially good pictures to be had, but in fairly heavy drizzle and poor light this was the best of the bunch. I love its quizzical expression as if it was wondering what's this ground feeding about.

I will return in better weather conditions.
