A displaced Kentuckian

The first few steps are the hardest.

I went skating today for the first time in well over a year. The first few laps were really difficult- crossovers felt awkward and I felt like I was about to fall flat on my face. At some point during my one hour skating session, things came back. Skating felt as natural and easy as walking, and while a few things didn't come back so easily, landing a few jumps felt even better now than it did at 16.

"Skating was the vessel into which I could pour my heart and soul." Peggy Fleming
