Chasing shadows IX

... but in a slightly different way.

Today, after around four months since I first sent it off, I got my 18-55 kit lens back, finally fixed properly.

The saga involved sending it back after it was first 'repaired', hundreds of pounds' worth of repairs by Nikon (on a lens worth about £100), me trying - and failing - to persuade the insurers to give me the cash instead, and four months of waiting.

Anyway, they first changed the autofocus motor (no difference) and now, reportedly, the 'lens tube', whatever that is, the upshot of which is it works - and rather well I must say, despite much whinging on my part earlier in the year about shite kit lenses. It's really not bad at all.

Shadows collected.
