The Show (Dayglo Balloon props)

My one piece of advice to you all is this: Be involved, at least once in your life, in a Show.

It can be a Talent show, School show, Dance show, Photo Show, Dog Show - you get my drift.

But, be involved.

There really is something about the smell of the greasepaint and the curtain opening (albeit metaphorical in some cases).

Dare yourself. Bare yourself. Be bothered.

Tonight was Part 1 of my own School Talent Show. To see the staff and kids mixing, laughing, nervous- relying on each other for jokes, lines and costume help, being decidedly human in the best sense, lifted my soul.

Some of my most humble moments and best adventures were in a Show.
