the big break

Today was a good day, I got my official offer for my new job. It feels pretty huge for me. Not only have I been allowed to pursue a new opportunity after only 6 months in my current job, but someone is taking a chance on me and hiring me to do something that on paper it doesn't necessarily say I can do. I am getting my "big break". The company I work for is built on these breaks, putting people you believe in in a place they may have never been. I always said when I got mine, if I got mine, I would deliver quickly and fully on the potential that somebody recognized. I still intend to do that, but for tonight I am just going to go to bed with the anticipation of a new adventure and a feeling of excitement in my career that I haven't felt for a while.
